Replace your media ceramic rings occasionally. Your best bet to keep the beneficial bacteria in your nano cube aquarium or tank to to alt weeks and replace a different week than you replace other items like carbon and sponges or bio balls though.
If you replace all of your media you will lose to much good bacteria!!
