To replace your current hood open up the unit approximately 4 inches and pop off the hood from the back hinges. This is very easy to do. It should take no more than 1 min. to replace the whole hood on your nano cube.
With the LED lighting that is offered with this top you will not need to use a chiller whereas if you had HQI lighting previously you probably had to use a chiller due to the amount of high heat those units put out. LED lighting produces almost no heat whatsoever for your aquarium.
